Exploring Black Digital Humanities

Reuben Riggs-Bookman

PhD ’23

The Black Research Roundtable (BRR) is a graduate student organization whose aim is to foster an intellectual community of scholars, both within and outside the academy, who employ a Black Studies epistemology and methodology. We aspire to cultivate an intellectually, professionally, and socially engaged community invested in the interdisciplinary study of the African Diaspora. By providing a space for dynamic exchange on issues pertinent to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we fill a critical void in the University of Michigan’s scholarly community that is now more urgent than ever.
